HOWTO: Burn the DBAN ISO file with CDBurnerXP

  1. Download CDBurnerXP from http://www.cdburnerxp.se/.

  2. Install CDBurnerXP.

  3. Download the latest DBAN ISO file. It should look like this on your desktop:

  4. Run the CDBurnerXP program and choose New Compilation from the menu.

  5. Click File from the pulldown menu and choose Write Disc from ISO File.

  6. Click the button with the "..." ellipsis and choose the DBAN ISO file.

  7. Disable the Use Buffer Protection toggle.

  8. Enable the Finalize Disc toggle.

  9. Click the Write Disc button.

  10. Wait for the burn to finish.

  11. Click the Done button.

  12. You should see something like this in the Microsoft Windows Explorer if the DBAN ISO file was burned correctly.
